Police Warn People to be on Guard When Opening the Door

Neighbors living in a Grand Junction apartment complex are on edge after a home invasion.

Police say on Friday, people living in an apartment at Glenbrook.on Lakeside Drive answered the door. The two men standing outside, busted in, demanded cash and drugs and then took off on foot.

Investigators say the men did not steal anything but it's a good reminder to be on guard.

“you have to be careful when you're answering the door.. Especially it there's people you don't know who they are and what they're intentions are this happened in the middle of the afternoon so it can happen anytime” says Kate Porras of the Grand Junction Police .)

The first suspects is described as bald, forty to fifty years old with missing teeth. He has scars on his face and may be wearing a blue hoodie. The second suspect is about 35 years old and may be wearing a white cowboy hat, a white scarf and cowboy boots.
