Rifle Man Arrested for Killing Own Brother
A 20-year-old Rifle man is behind bars tonight accused of killing his own brother.
Heath Johnston was arrested December 15th and is facing charges of first degree murder.
Officers were called out to rifle home on a report of a gunshot. When they got there Johnston told them he shot his brother. 26-year-old Sam Johnston was declared dead on scene.
Police are not releasing a motive at this time and a lab team from the Colorado Bureau of Investigation is assisting the District Attorney's office there.
He is being held without bail at the Garfield County Jail, according to the Rifle Police Department.
