People lined up at the Toys For Tots donation center off of 1st Avenue at 4:00 a.m. on Thursady. Many already knew that there would be a short supply of toys, but when the donation center doors closed at 1:30 p.m. it was a shock to everyone.
Crews worked hard to pick up toys from drop-off locations but decided it was best to close doors until Friday to restock what they could.
Toys For Tots received over 1,300 applications from parents hoping to collect toys for their children. Officials say that adds up to more than 3,500 children.
The Donation Center will be open till Monday depending on how many toys are donated.
