Grand Junction only received one-tenth of an inch of snow for Friday, but is on the run for a record December.

So far this month, Junction has had 13 and a half inches - the fifth snowiest December on record. This December’s snow fall remains well above the thirty year average of 4.8 inches.

1983 set the top record at 19 inches of snow in December that year.
