A Grand Junction teen accused of raping a girl at a party has been formally charged and his family is talking only to 11 News.
18-year-old Brandon Locke faced a judge Tuesday morning as prosecutors filed sex assault and alcohol charges against him.
According to an arrest affidavit, Locke and another girl were drinking at a party when investigators say she passed out and he had sex with her while someone recorded it on their cell phone camera.
Locke's grandma spoke exclusively to 11 news about the investigation.
“I just think Brandon is not a violent guy. He would never force himself on a woman.,” says Wanda.
Locke is being held on a $200-thousand dollar bond. He'll be back in court later this month.
