This morning Mesa County Commissioner Janet Rowland and District Attorney Pete Hautzinger raised their right hands and promised to continue their service to the people of Mesa County and the state of Colorado. They talked about their successes so far and their hopes for the future.
We've made a lot of progress over the last 4 years especially in the war on amphetamines and that's demonstrated by a massive decline in felony filings last year. So, we're making progress and moving in the right direction (but) that doesn't mean the battle is won.,” says Rowland.
“I think I'll be going a lot of the same things I've done the last 4 years focus on fiscal conservativeness and on making sure we have a planning process that streamlines but respecting property rights.”
Commissioner Craig Meis was also at the ceremony via telephone - his official swearing in will take place next Tuesday.
