The second suspect in the November knife attack at Montrose High School has been charged as a juvenile.

Montrose, Colo. (AP) The second suspect in the November knife attack at Montrose High School has been charged as a juvenile.

The 14-year-old boy appeared in court Wednesday on a charge of accessory to attempted murder. Police allege he was a conspirator in the Nov. 11 attack on 17-year-old Mallory Haulman. His name hasn’t been released.

Another 14-year-old boy, Michael Yates, has been charged as an adult in the case. He faces charges of attempted first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit first-degree assault.

Court documents say Yates told investigators he was obeying voices in his head when he allegedly slashed Haulman’s throat. Haulman is recovering from her injuries and has returned to class.
