Fire

Two people are without a home Thursday night after a fire ravishes their house; the fire started just around six o’clock this evening at 516 Placer Drive.

A son and his mother were inside when the fire started; both were able to get out before the Grand Junction Fire Department got there.
The elderly mother was on oxygen and was taken to the hospital for minor smoke inhalation, fire fighters believe the oxygen in the house may have helped to fuel the fire.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation and the house is being considered a total loss.
