He's been out of office for six years But Reford Theobold has announced Thursday that he will be running for city council once again.
Theobold is a former city council member and has spent much of his time as an active member of the Grand Junction Lions Club.
He says his concern for the local economy and the city's budget is one reason he's running.
He also says he's noticed that the “council is operating less as a team and that it's lost its common sense approach to land use decisions.”
The election is April 7th.
