Montrose, Colo. (AP) Montrose Police say a small explosion woke up neighbors but caused no injuries and no major damage.

Cmdr. Gene Lillard says police got several calls at about 9:30 p.m. Monday reporting a loud bang, but officers found no sign of an explosion until Tuesday morning, when a woman reported finding an explosive device in her garden.

Lillard says the device had been detonated. He says it’s unclear if it was planted in the garden or thrown from a moving vehicle.

He says the explosion damaged a doorjamb on the woman’s house.
