A rescue operation is underway this evening after a van went off a Cliff in Red Canyon. Both entrances to the Monument have been closed.

11 News has a crew on the scene, our photographer on scene can see the Van that reportedly went off the road. It appears the vehicle went off a cliff, fell about a hundred feet and got caught on one of the ledges.

The Grand Junction Fire Department and the Mesa County Sheriff's Office are both on scene.

We do not know if anyone was injured.

Both entrances to the Monument are closed.
