Second Suspect Arrested in Homeless Man's Murder

The Grand Junction Police Department has arrested a second person in connection to the murder of transient Todd Pierce.

Officials say, 45 year old Arthur Boyer, played a role in killing Pierce, who was found beaten to death near Power Rd. last month. A warrant was issued for his arrest, and officers say after receiving a tip last night, they found Boyer at an apartment in the 12000 block of Bookcliff Avenue.

Because Boyer's arrest warrant is sealed, police could not go into detail about his involvement in the case and why he was arrested.
Boyer is now faces second degree murder charges. The other suspect in this case, Michael Bateman, also remains behind bars on a $500,000 bond.
