Proposed Bag Ban

Colorado legislatures are trying to push a bill that would eventually ban plastic bags.

Plastic bags have been dubbed "urban tumbleweeds" by some and the bill’s plan is to gradually phase the bags out over the next three years.
Reusable bags are the desired alternative and the bill makers hope this will fuel small businesses and help Colorado’s economy...

The bill would begin by charging customers six cents for a bag, half would go to the stores to buy reusable bags and the other half would go to schools.
