The US Postal Service is warning of a new work–at– home scam that may be arriving in a mail box near you.
The postal service says that as the economy has worsened these scams to lure hard working American's are growing especially in Colorado and Wyoming. The scammer will mail the potential victim a phony check in relation to a job scheme or phony business venture and asks the victim to wire money back to the scammer. Victims have lost thousands of dollars and their life savings at the hands of these scams.
Keep in mind that no legitimate business will ever ask for confidential information through the mail or over the phone.
