Superbowl weekend: beers, brats, buffalo wings, and bikes?
Before delving into the usually fatty superbowl fare, dozens of bikers burned some calories before the kickoff, all for a good cause.
The day before the calorie overload that is the football championship, teams of bikers battled it out in the Gold's Gym spinning room.
The challenge was not the fastest time or the longest distance, but the most money raised for the after-school hangout, the Tree House.
The joint is for kids of all ages who would be normally be home alone after class.
Instead, they can hang out there.
Today, the non–profit steered their handlebars towards helping the Tree House out.
To bike for the tikes, each rider had to raise $100, and $2000 was already raised by the morning.
If you would like to see what the Tree House is all about, you can head over to www.treehousegj.org.
