11 News is learning more about a man found dead overnight in Pear Park, but there are still a lot of unanswered questions about how he died.

The Mesa County Coroner has identified the man as the victim of a stabbing last week.

The coroner says 32–year–old Douglas Bennett was found dead at a home in the 2900 block of D Road just after 2:30am Tuesday.

Bennett was recently released from the hospital after he was treated for a stab wound.

Investigators say the stabbing happened Friday night when Bennett got in a fight with a man he met at a bar.

58–year–old Mack Sadler was arrested for that stabbing. He's behind bars in the Mesa County Jail on a $25,000 bond.

The coroner has not said if Bennett died from that stab wound or something else and says those questions should be answered after more testing.
