Fire Breaks Out on Main Street, Displaces Seven

Seven people, including five children, are without their home after a fire ripped through an apartment.

The fire happened at 1800 Main Street. Fire officials say when they got to the apartment they found heavy smoke and flames.

They were able to work quickly and knock the fire out within 15 minutes. Officials say the fire started in the kitchen area of where the stove is but the exact cause is still under investigation.

The Red Cross is assisting the family.
