The Mesa County Coroner has identified the man that was killed in a car crash that shut down Highway 6 & 50 for seven hours Sunday.
Twenty-three-year-old John Fullmer IV's death was ruled an accident on Monday. Fullmer was a passenger in the automobile and died of multiple injuries.
Police say that Fullmer was thrown from 21-year-old Jesse Reed’s car, when it struck a traffic light pole at 24 ¾ road and 6&50.
Reed is in the Mesa County Jail without bond.
Fullmer's family is asking that, instead of flowers, donations be made in John's name for the Mesa County Football Association.
