"Spoony" Spelling Bee

How do you spell winner? L-I-N-D-S-A-Y G-N-E-S-I-O-S.
The middle schooler was victorious at today's Mesa County Spelling Bee for students grades six through eight.
The seventh grader took home the county crown after spelling the word "spoony" and then "anecdote."
Taking down dozens of local middle–school students in her wake, and now she heads to the state-wide contest in Denver along with seven other competitors.
The host of the competition, Holy Family School, will send six of their students off to Denver.
