The Bresnan Communications outage that impaired 911 service calls and phone calls to the School District is now over. Service has been restored to the effected phone lines.
Some Grand Junction Bresnan customers are without power, cable and internet after a construction crew working on F Road cut a fiber optic cable. 9-1-1 calls for Bresnan customers will not go through because of the outage and the school district is without phone service, too.
The outage was reported by the Grand Junction Police Department at 10:25am.
Bresnan Communications says it's working on the problem but does not have an estimate of how many customers are effected.
Grand Junction Police says the outage is effecting people living in the areas of F Road to Highway 50 in Orchard Mesa and 25 Road to 28 Road.
Bresnan telephone customers who have lost phone, cable and internet will not be able to call 911 from their phones.
Police say the repairs could take up to four to five hours so anyone needing to call 911 should use a cell phone or try to find a neighbor who is not a Bresnan customer.
