What was supposed to be a relaxing backyard BBQ turned dangerous for a family today when a big fire broke out.
16 fire fighters battled the blaze on 24 ½ and 'H' Roads Sunday afternoon. Officials say the fire scorched ten acres and threatened three structures, at one point flames were more than 10 feet high.
Firefighters say at first it was difficult to gain the upper hand on the fire because of the rugged terrain and the lack of water in the area.
The fire has been contained, no one was injured and no homes were damaged. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
