This weekend's fatal crash marks the fourth death in the past several weeks that police say was caused by young drunk drivers.
Leaders of the Mesa County Underage Drinking Prevention Task Force met at the Mesa County Sheriff's Office to talk about what's happening in the community.
They're gearing up for alcohol awareness month next month.
They say these accidents are horrible but they're hoping families can learn something.
"I feel sad for the families of the victims and what I hope that could be a positive is that more parents will talk to their kids about the consequences of underage drinking," Mesa County Underage Drinking Prevention Task Force Coordinator Brandy Hinkle told 11 News on Monday.
