A man accused of smashing his truck into 10 cars in the Safeway parking lot on Horizon Drive Tuesday is facing charges for the accident.

Police arrested 65-year-old Rudolph Nerio on suspicion of driving under the influence and careless driving. Authorities say Nerio was also suffering from an undisclosed medical condition at the time of the incident.

He was taken to a hospital and later released. A Safeway employee was knocked down and a man suffered a cut when his car's air bag inflated. Both suffered minor injuries.

Police say Nerio was going up to 40 miles per hour in the parking lot when the crash happened.
