A second arrest has been made in connection with the double fatal accident at 5Th and North Avenue. The Grand Junction Police department arrested Jason Roy Carley for contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
New details just released from the investigation show that Carley supplied alcohol to twenty–year–old Derrick Maxfield and another unknown juvenile the night of the crash.
The arrest affidavit says that carley bought wine coolers and hard liquor from a store and then served the alcohol at a party. Maxfield was the driver in a Honda that crashed in to Shandi Botel's truck a little less than two weeks ago.
The crash killed Shandi Boetel and her baby. Her common law husband, Luis Cassiano remains in the hospital in serious condition.
