The slumping economy is forcing Grand Junction's largest newspaper to make some big changes.
In a letter to readers, the Grand Junction Daily Sentinel Executive Editor Dennis Herzog announced that starting Monday the paper will be a lot different.
Daily television listings will no longer be printed in the paper and the daily planner section is being eliminated.
There will be fewer sports pages and some of the regular columns will move.
The paper is also canceling five comic strips.
In the letter Herzog, says "the paper hopes the economy improves and improves quickly and, when it does the paper, will revisit some of their decisions."
