Senator Josh Penry says he's toying with the idea of running for governor.
In a phone call with 11 News today. the Senate Minority Leader says he is thinking about it but won't really consider running until the legislative session is over.
Penry says right now the important thing to do is focus on his current job.
The senator says he has gotten a lot of encouragement from other Republican leaders who think the state needs new direction and that he could be the one to lead them.
Penry says he's flattered.
