Series of crashes overnight

A man is in the hospital this morning after his car tumbled end over end for several hundred feet.
Grand Junction Police responded to the accident around 1:45 a.m. after a person driving by reported seeing a vehicle on its roof.
Police say the man was travelling east on I – 70 B and approaching North Avenue when he drove off the road, lost control and tumbled his car end over end.
When police arrived the man was spitting on them so they placed what they call a "spit hood" on him.
The man was taken to hospital, the extent of injuries not known.
Police say alcohol was most likely a factor in the crash.

Another accident happened just before 9 p.m. yesterday when a woman rolled her car on Highway 340 near Monument road.
Police say the woman made a left turn in front of an SUV. The SUV hit her and she rolled her car.
Police are not sure at this point who had the right of way and who is at fault.
The woman driving the car had to be pulled out through the window and was taken to the hospital. No word yet on her condition.
The driver of the SUV was not hurt.

And no one was seriously injured when two cars collided head on just before 10 p.m. yesterday.
The accident happened at 24 ½ and F Roads.
Police say a pickup and a small SUV collided when the driver of the pickup made left turn in front of the SUV and their front ends collided.
