All week 11 -News has introduced you to the candidates for City Council in this April’s election, now meet District “A”s candidates.

Both Tom Kenyon and Ken Sublett have a large amount of experience managing large organizations and considerable budgets.
Kenyon worked with Colorado state parks for 31 years and Sublett as a retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel.

Both men say the first order of business if elected to the Grand Junction City Council is to take care of the comprehensive plan.
Kenyon says he would like to protect our riverfront and develop a trail from one end of the county to the other.
Sublett says 95 percent of the plan should focus on land use not just the 5 percent he says it does now. Both say a better plan needs to be developed to handle the growth in the area and that the current City Council needs someone who isn't afraid to make a decision and both Kenyon and Sublett each say that they are the man for the job.

Voters can mail in their ballots or drop it off at City Hall, the Old County Courthouse, or either of the county's motor vehicle registration offices at Mesa Mall or the Mesa County Fairgrounds.
