With guns drawn police acted out a tense stand off situation today, all in hopes of being better prepared for a real one.
It was all part of a monthly training exercise for officers with the Grand Junction Police Department.
Even 911 dispatchers joined in on the action, as they observed and participated in the training from outside the home.
Officials say this training covers skills that can't be learned in the classroom.
The Grand Junction Police Department will be doing more training exercises tomorrow and Friday.
