Mesa County hosting child abuse seminar

Mesa County is hosting a seminar to help citizens identify child abuse and neglect tonight. Chief Deputy District Attorney Tammy Eret and Child Protection Hotline Liaison Erica Anderson will present the signs of abuse, how to report suspected abuse and what happens after a report is made.
Information about resources available to help strengthen families and prevent abuse will also be available at the meeting. The training is tonight, March 25 at 5:30 p.m. at the Old County Courthouse, 544 Rood, in the multi-purpose room. The event is free and open to the public.

    Thank you for holding this informative session for the public. As a victim of child abuse who endures the residual effects daily, awareness will ultimately prevent any abuse from continuing.
