Eight million dollars is headed for the Grand Junction Regional Airport. The airport has been selected to receive stimulus money for a rehabilitation of a portion of the ramp.
Officials say some existing concrete is damaged beyond repair and needs to be replaced. Reconstruction will improve more than 60,000 square yards of existing ramp as well as infrastructure for the ramp. A thicker section of concrete will also be poured, allowing heavier aircraft to utilize the area.
