A man will spend 10 years behind bars for his role in the murder of a Montrose woman.
Thursday Lionel Lopez pleaded guilty and was sentenced on two counts of accessory to 1st degree murder in the death of Irene Trujillo.
He was sentenced to five years plus the mandatory period of parole on each county, the sentences will run consecutively.
Trujillo's remains were found at her business on Spring Creek Mesa about two months after she disappeared in April 2003. District Attorney Myrl Serra says the investigation remains open to find the others involved in the crime and bring them to justice.
