Grand Junction police have released the description of a man they say tried to rape a woman early Wednesday morning.
On Wednesday, April 1 at about 3 a.m. police reported a call of an assault near 28 1/2 Road and North Ave.
Officials say a woman was walking on the sidewalk near that intersection when a man grabbed her, dragged her a short distance, and tried to sexually assault her.
The woman was able to get away and call police. The suspect is described as a Hispanic man, 5'4" tall, about 150 pounds, with a bald head. He was wearing small glasses, jeans and a long sleeve t-shirt.
Anyone with information about this case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 241-STOP.
