If it's sun you want you'll have to wait a until next week. Joe Ramey, with the National Weather Service says, "getting very warm on Tuesday maybe hitting the '70's here in the Valley Tuesday afternoon." But for now its more rain and maybe some snow early Saturday.
"Storms coming right over us (Friday)," says Ramey, predicting possible snow in the early hours. With rainfall below average this year in the Valley the rain comes at a good time. "When we get an average nine inches a year to get half and inch, near half an inch in one morning is really unusual," says, Ramey.
And as the saying goes if you don't like the weather in Colorado wait a couple minutes. Right now its not even raining but come midnight we're supposed to see a lot more rain come back to the Valley.
This is also good news for Gardeners. Dennis Hill with Bookcliff Gardens says, "this rain is awesome I mean the plants are going to love this stuff." Hill says those early season vegetables will benefit the most.
