Police have released a sketch of a man they say tried to rape a woman.
Officials hope you can help identify this man.
He is described as Hispanic, 5’ 4” to 5’ 7” tall, weighing about 150 pounds.
The man is bald and was wearing small glasses, jeans and a long–sleeved t–shirt at the time he grabbed a Grand Junction woman as she was walking home and tried to sexually assault her.
The incident happened April 1 near the intersection of 28 ½ Road and North Avenue.
Officials say the suspect grabbed the victim from behind and dragged her a short distance before trying to rape her. She was able to escape and call for help.
Anyone with information on this man is asked to call Crimestoppers at 241–STOP.
