A notice to parents, state law is requiring a Tdap booster vaccine for next year's 5th and 9th graders.
The Mesa County Health Department will be offering the vaccine boosters at area high schools throughout the month.
Students have to be up on the vaccine for next school year, otherwise, they'll face suspension.
The booster vaccine will be offered at the following dates and times:
-Palisade High School, April 15th, 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the cafeteria
-Grand Junction High School, April 16th, 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in room 113
-DeBeque Jr/Sr High School, April 21st, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon in the cafeteria
-Central High School, April 22nd, 2:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in room 405
-Plateau Valley High School, April 29th, 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria
The vaccine costs $14.50.
