The election is over and the results are in.
And the unofficical results for the 4 open seats on the City Council are:
In District A, longtime Colorado State Park employee Tom Kenyon is the unofficial winner beating out his opponent Ken Sublett.
For the District D City Council seat current City Council member Bonnie Beckstein will keep her spot on the council. She has unofficially won her re–election bid against former City Council member Reford Theobold, beating him out by more than 700 votes.
In District E, current City Council member and Mayor Pro–Tem Teresa Coons ran unopposed, winning re–election.
And the race for the at-large seat being vacated by Doug Thomason was a close one. Grand Junction entrepreneur Bill Pitts is the unofficial winner of this one, narrowly beating opponent Sam Susuras by only 31 votes.
Again, these results are unofficial until they are certified by the Grand Junction City Clerk.
