We are still not sure how a woman and a baby are doing this morning after being hit by a truck last night.
The Grand Junction Police Department says around 4 p.m. 20-year-old David Russell was driving down 13th Street when he pulled into the intersection at Orchard Avenue.
Another driver in a red truck tried to get out of the way, but was clipped by Russell's car, pushing his truck up onto the sidewalk.
A woman and a baby on the sidewalk were hit and thrown several feet.
Their conditions are not known.
Russell, who authorities say had a warrant, was taken into custody.
He faces charges of careless driving resulting in bodily injury, and failure to provide insurance.
