32–Year–Old Juan Prieto–Gonzalez was charged Thursday with vehicular homicide, DUI and other felony charges.
State troopers say on April 6 Prieto–Gonzales drove drunk and ran a stop sign at the intersection of 5400 Road and Highway 348.
His car was broadsided by a Suburban.
Three people, including two young children in the Suburban were seriously injured.
Prieto–Gonzales's 8–year–old son was killed in the crash.
Prieto–Gonzales is being held at the Montrose county jail on a $100,000 bond.
He has a history of alcohol related arrests.
