It was quite a hairy situation today as directors of several local agencies joined forces to raise money for a local non–profit.
Deputy Director for the Department of Human Services, Tracey Garchar along with Mesa County Workforce Center Supervisor, Gilbert Lujan and Will Hays with Hilltop competed in a head to head challenge to raise money for the March of Dimes.
The losers of that challenge had to shave their heads. In the end the Department of Human services came out on top, however each agency pitched in extra money to make it a tie and everyone shaved their heads in the end.
Not everyone went willingly and some tried using impostors to fake their way out of the deal.
"Definitely worth it. It's all for a good cause it's a good summer cut that's how I'm looking at it, getting ready for the heat of summer. I'll just have to wear a hat," says Hays who originally raised the least amount of money.
In the end the competition raised over $6,000 for the March of Dimes.
