Colorado State Patrol says two Mesa State Students involved in a fatal rollover crash near Gypsum have been transported to a hospital in Denver.

Officials tell 11 News 20-year-old Kathryn Ball and 19-year-old Nicholas Ludwig were flown from Vail Valley Medical Center to Denver Health overnight Saturday, but did not have an update on their conditions.

Saturday afternoon, Ball and Ludwig were with two of their friends driving on Interstate 70 near Gypsum, when a tire on the Toyota Four-Runner they were riding blew out. Investigators say the SUV then flipped over two and half times, throwing Ball and Ludwig from the vehicle and killing the driver 19-year-old Enrique Gutierrez.

Officials say another passenger in the vehicle, 20-year-old Corrigan Conroy received minor injuries.
