A fatal weekend crash kills one Mesa State student and injures three others.

The crash happened on Interstate 70 near Gypsum.

Colorado State Patrol tells 11 News 20–year–old Kathryn Ball and 19–year–old Nicholas Ludwig were flown from Vail Valley Medical Center to a Denver hospital but didn't have an update on how they're doing.

On Saturday, Ball, Ludwig and two of their friends were driving on I–70 near Gypsum when a tire on the Toyota Forerunner they were driving in blew out.

Investigators say the SUV flipped two and a half times and the driver, 19–year-old Enrique Gutierrez was killed.

Another passenger, 20–year-old Corrigan Conroy received minor injuries.
