The Mesa County Sheriff's Office says a new roofing scam may be targeting Grand Valley residents -- and now they're asking for your help to find the scammer.
Officials say deputies are looking for 40-year-old Robert Dumas of Florida. They say in March, he offered an elderly Mesa County man a foam and sealant treatment for his roof -- then took 15 minutes to apply a fake treatment and charged the man $20,000 for the job.
Investigators believe Dumas intimidates customers to collect his payment and possibly threatens them.
If you've been scammed by Dumas or have information on where he may be, you're asked to call the Mesa County Sheriff's Office at (970) 244-3260,
