Police Bill Gardner recognized five nurses and Chief Deputy District Attorney Tammy Eret today for their work with child sex assault victims.
They were all awarded the police chief's challenge coin.
Deputy District Attorney Tammy Eret says the work is rewarding and saddening at the same time. "You just have to try to know that you are doing your best and that you'll provide them safety in the future but it weighs on your heart."
April is National Child Abuse Prevention month.
