Grand Junction Police Officers are searching for a man who pointed a gun at a woman outside Two Rivers Convention Center and demanded her purse.

Authorities say the man approached a woman just before 11 a.m. near Two Rivers Convention Center in Downtown Grand Junction, pointed a gun at her and demanded her purse. The woman refused and fought the man off.

He fled the scene and possibly got into a tan 1980s Ford Taurus. He is described as a Hispanic male in his mid-20s with short black hair and dark eyes. He was wearing a black t-shirt and khaki shorts. He has a soul patch under his lower lip.

Police are interviewing the victim and still searching for the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Grand Junction Police Department.
