A Grand Junction woman is putting finding a cure to cancer on the fast track!
The High Desert Race Place on North Avenue hosted a remote control car race on Sunday, and to raise money for “Relay for Life”, Rachel Branson hosted lunch and a raffle.
Branson was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma at the age of twenty, but after intense chemo and a bone marrow transplant, she's been in remission for four years and is pregnant with her second child.
Branson said last year, the fundraiser at the track raised about $1,200, and this year, she hopes it will be even better.
