Police have released the sketch of a man they say tried to rob a woman at gunpoint Friday.

This is the man cops say tried to steal a woman's purse outside Two Rivers Convention Center.

The man pointed a gun at the woman and demanded her purse. She refused and fought off the subject she described as a slender Hispanic man, 20 to 25-years-old with short black hair and a soul patch.

The man is about 5’ 8” and was wearing a black t–shirt, khaki shorts, and tennis shoes.

Witnesses say they saw someone matching his description get into a 1980s model tan Ford Taurus.
