In an effort to help World War II vets get to their memorial in Washington D.C., one local school is launching a war of its own.
Today each grade at Redlands Middle School will battle it out in a coin war, to see who can bring in the most money for honor flight.
A group that is planning to send 85 local vets to Washington D.C. for a weekend this summer.
Honor Flight says it still needs tens of thousands of dollars to make the trip happen, and is truly touched that these students are stepping up.
The principal at Redlands Middle School says the grade that brings in the most money will get a water balloon fight on the last day of school.
