After months of repairs, the Monument Bridge has finally re-opened.
The bridge opened to traffic just after noon on Friday.
The re-vamped bridge is wider and friendlier for all car, pedestrian, and bike traffic.
A curb, gutter, and sidewalk were also added to the north side of the road.
The City of Grand Junction’s Public Works and Planning Department says the new bridge makes travel safer, and would like to thank citizens for their patience.
