A weekend of helping neighbors wrapped up on Sunday after more than 3,000 volunteers completed 300 projects for this year’s Sharefest.
Volunteers from churches across the Grand Valley helped those in need by completing everything from house repairs to paying visits to the sick, all on their own time and their own dime.
Church volunteers say their services are a way of giving back to the community.
Recipients say the tasks completed are often otherwise daunting, and are grateful for the help.
Sharefest happens each year in April.
